Secrets of Club Penguin: Back of the Town

The island of Club Penguin holds many secrets that can be easily missed. There's so much more than the obvious larger features and the details in much of what you see on Club Penguin are as fascinating as the rooms and features themselves. These minor items and details each tell a story from Club Penguin's past revealing the secret awaiting inside. We're all well acquainted with the town, a favorite and popular hang out spot, but have you ever given thought as to what lies behind the flashy lights of the dance club, quaint brick layered coffee shop, and fancy fashions of the clothes shop? My curiosity has gotten the best of me and I've found some interesting connections and involvement of this section of the town with the in-game experience of Club Penguin. There's actually more than meets the eye with this unknown region of Club Penguin so, let's get started, shall we?

Here's a picture of the back of the town. Notice the storage building behind the coffee shop located right next to the 'Java' delivery truck. As far as I'm aware, no parties or events have taken place or anything for that matter have included that building. How cool would it be if Club Penguin incorporated this building with a party for a limited time or Elite Penguin Force mission. Perhaps Herbert could hold a heist with the delivery truck and we'd have to stop him. The possibilities are limitless. Not to mention, the coffee shop has a loading dock on the side of the building.

We get another glimpse of the back of the town in several of the PSA missions. PSA missions are puzzle-like games that secret agents had to figure out and in return received medals, gifts, and hands on experience helping their fellow penguins. Once located in the VR room, PSA missions were moved to the 'Fun Stuff' section of Club Penguin's website in December 2012. I've gone down a rabbit trail so, I'll continue with the subject at hand. In 'Case of the Missing Coins' we got access the roof of the gift shop which you can see in the previous picture. There's a few odds and ends and in the mission we encountered another of Herbert's evil plans; however, it proved ill for Herbert as we stopped him like usual. Nonetheless, the back of the town is the perfect vantage point for yet another strike from Herbert. The question is: when will he strike next?

As of late we've seen little activity and interest on Club Penguin's part in the back of the town. I think a renewed interest by both our part and Club Penguin's part could open a world of opportunity for not just the back of the town, but the back of other rooms. How cool would it be if we could explore the back rooms? Club Penguin could decorate those along with the monthly parties and possibly hold a mini-event for the opening of the back of rooms.  I always find these links to Club Penguin's past and secrets in graphics fascinating and as you stroll pass the town next time, don't forget what secrets they hold and lay behind the ambiance of the town.

Secrets of Club Penguin: Rare Items - Beta Hat - Red Lei - & More

The island of Club Penguin holds many secrets that can be easily missed. There's so much more than the obvious larger features and the details in much of what you see on Club Penguin are as fascinating as the rooms and features themselves. These minor items and details each tell a story from Club Penguin's past revealing the secret awaiting inside. Secrets from Club Penguin may also include things that can be found from many Club Penguin graphics. Below is a 'Secrets of Club Penguin' article regarding the rare items situated on the shelves in the clothes shop.

Rare items are the buzz of the Club Penguin community and have been for as long as I can remember. It's instant fame for any penguin account with a beta hat, red lei, blue lei, and time would fail me to make mention of each of the rare items. You can literally hear the gasps of excitement as one of these penguins enter a room. They're rare and we all know it. That's why there's Club Penguin programs and cheats to get ahold of these rare items. I mean, who wouldn't want one of these rare items? 

As soon as you enter the clothes shop, look to your right and you'll spot the beta hat, Christmas scarf, gold viking hat, red lei, orange hoodie, and a mysterious article of clothing masked behind one of the light fixtures. It's worth noting that each of these items are rare and, therefore, it's honest to conclude that the blue shirt is a rare item, but we cannot fully see it. The fact is it could be a plain blue t-shirt, but what if it's something more? Something rarer than the beta hat? That's why it's a secret. Despite the fact we may never know exactly what it is or Club Penguin could be waiting for the right time to unmask this mysterious rare item, it's a mystery within itself. I've gotten off on a rabbit trail; however, the rare items that are show cased here each have a larger meaning. These are the items that started it all - the items that players first collected and have enjoyed the most over the eight years Club Penguin have existed. They're rare because we've made them rare and that's why Club Penguin's still here today - us. 

Although these items are collecting dust and are often forgotten in the excitement of everyday Club Penguin activities, it never ceases to amaze me the extensive story behind these seemingly unimportant articles. I always find these links to Club Penguin's past fascinating and as you stroll pass these rare items in the clothes shop next time, don't forget what secrets they hold. These rare items are a standing memory as to why Club Penguin's here today and why Club Penguin has been made into the fun environment we love today - us. I've always wished you could reach behind the glass and pick up one of these awesome items, I'm sure you've felt the same as well. They would no longer be rare and that's the magic wand keeping them aloft - their scarcity. It's still fun to dream about having one though, I must admit. Club Penguin UK BAFTA Kids' Vote 2013

As of every year in November, Club Penguin has been nominated for the annual BAFTA Kids' Vote award for best website. If you recall, Club Penguin won the 2010 and since have lost to other virtual worlds and websites. Sadly, voting is restricted to UK players since the BAFTA awards are an event in the United Kingdom. Nevertheless, if you live in the UK and are between the age of 7 and 14 please don't hesitate to vote for Club Penguin. Voting is easy. Just follow these steps:

Secrets of Club Penguin: Herbert Statue

The island of club penguin holds many secrets that can be easily missed. We've all seen it at some point or another while waddling around the Club Penguin island. As you approach the mine shack you will see a Herbert statue covered with vines. This ice sculpture has made its home here since the summer of 2010. You're probably thinking what this Herbert statue has to do with anything. This isn't just any statue or feature Club Penguin added for decoration at the Mine Shack. It actually has a thrilling back-story and is the reason the island is currently afloat. There's a lot more than meets the eye. Have a look at the Herbert statue in the provided image below:

This statue of Herbert P. Bear was originally spotted in a sneak peek from Billybob in the spring of 2010. Soon afterwards, Club Penguin released it's second DS game known as 'Herbert's Revenge' which become a huge hit with the players once it was available. It had several missions that could only be played via this game. With this said, one of these missions links directly to this exact statue, mission 10. It was located in Herbert's lair and was still a working progress as he was busy with his newest evil scheme: to make Club Penguin warmer. To warm up the island, Herbert got a gigantic magnifying glass and aimed it directly at the Mine Shack room. Herbert's scheme, of course, backfired on him and together he and the EPF sealed the hole (Caused by the Magnifying Glass) with the Herbert Statue. 

Once Club Penguin was saved, the Elite Penguin Force decided to keep the statue placed here. Personally, I always find these links to Club Penguin's past fascinating and as you stroll pass this statue next time, don't forget what secret it holds.

Secrets of Club Penguin: Ninja Shadows

The island of club penguin holds many secrets that can be easily missed. There is so much more than the obvious larger features and the details in much of what you see on club penguin are as fascinating as the rooms and features themselves. These minor items and details all tell a story from club penguin's past. Secrets from club penguin also include things that can be found from many club penguin graphics. Below is a secrets of club penguin article on the hidden ninjas on the club penguin island.

Ninjas are penguins who mastered the art of card-jitsu. They were, prior to October 2008, nothing more than rumors. This in fact, was because they existed in club penguins predecessor 'Penguin Chat 3'. Ninjas have always been a fascinating part of club penguin and are actually hidden all over the island! If you head over to either the lighthouse or ski lodge you can spot one of these very same hidden ninjas.

These ninjas have been here ever since the dojo first appeared in November 2008. A similar ninja could be seen in November 2008 as well jumping from the sky and bouncing away. It would come every 5 minutes at the town, ski hill, and plaza. After ninjas became alvailable, these ninja shadows vanished. They now make their home in the lighthouse and ski lodge. These ninja shadows are still shrouded in mystery although, they could be connected somehow with card-jitsu shadow. You can also see ninjas in the dojo every couple of minutes. Secrets of Club Penguin: Snow Cat

The island of club penguin holds many secrets that can be easily missed. There is so much more than the obvious larger features and the details in much of what you see on club penguin are as fascinating as the rooms and features themselves. These minor items and details all tell a story from club penguin's past. Secrets from club penguin also include things that can be found from many club penguin graphics. Down below is a secrets of club penguin article on the snow cat hidden in the club penguin lighthouse.

If you head over to the lighthouse you'll see an item in a bottle next to various other odd and ends, such as a steering wheel, on the right side of the room. This is isn't just any vehicle hidden in this bottle, it is the snow cat from the original game that became club penguin later on being called 'Penguin Chat'. Take a look:

The snow cat itself was originally found in penguin chat 3, in which you could drive it around in the game. It can be seen in the pizza parlor during the annual music Jam parties and in the 'Herbert's revenge' club penguin DS game in its snow trekker mini game. When penguin chat 3 closed down, and club penguin began, a smaller version was placed in the lighthouse which opened on September 22, 2006.
